The client is a leading insurance group with their operations in 18 markets across Asia with their regional headquarters in Hong Kong. The Client is also present in eight markets in Africa.
The client had enormous amount of insurance related data collected from multiple markets which were unstructured and semi-structured. This disconnected data increased the pain of analysts to gain meaningful insights. Since their technology stack was not uniform, the client wanted to centralize their data strategy.
PureSoftware engaged with the client and set up a 40 members team of core engineers for Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Confluence Kafka, Power BI and JIRA. Data Governance CoE was also set up for the client consisting of a 12-member team of Collibra engineers, DQ service desk engineers and data privacy engineers. A 5-member team of Business Analysts and Project managers led the Data Governance COE. The client’s mobile application One Pulse present in eighteen markets and other social media platforms, was the primary source of data in the project. Data was streamed using Confluence Kafka. The team built a centralized set of Data lakes at the regional level with the respective analytics, data governance and data privacy layers catering to the data transformation journey.
Centralized repository of data for their markets, better data governance, better data lineage, able to get better insights by running AI algorithms on this data.
A governance layer of Engagement managers and technical architect brought in by PureSoftware as an investment for the client.
Quick ramp up of a 15-member team in just 2 months, bringing in high-quality resources.
