The client is America’s largest independent distributor of 26,000 heavy-duty truck and trailer replacement parts from top brands with over 300 plus locations across 46 states. It also provides services and solutions support such as drive in services, inspections, repair, driveline and flywheel, fluid power/hydraulics systems.
The client was already a subscriber to Informatica’s annual plan and wanted to migrate to Pentaho, an open-source platform. Within a three-week period, they wanted to move all their transformation and replication jobs into Pentaho while avoiding the need to renew their existing Informatica’s annual subscription. To support the migration, no documentation was available from informatica, and Pentaho was the latest entrant in the market with limited online support.
PureSoftware deployed a team of experts who brainstormed with the client on the most feasible solutions to reduce the complexities involved during the transformation. To track the project’s progress, the group used a concurrent learning and implementation approach with daily reviews with the client to ensure that requirements are met within the stipulated deadline.
Configured all the transformations on staging environment in two weeks
Supported UAT and bug-fixing plus further enhancements during the third week
Helped the client to cancel the Informatica annual subscription well on time, resulting in huge cost savings.
